Drawing a lot of sci-fi garden/home backgrounds for work lately~ ✨
Accidentally used the wrong paper here & had to mostly paint this one digitally again :’)
A commission for the terrific iPad app Procreate, made earlier this year!
Some backgrounds inspired by Pratchett’s Tiffany Aching books! 🐑
The Vision of the Chosen One - “And Jehovah appeared to Abraham…” Abraham saw God. In other words he did not see anything that he did not see every day. He just noticed that everything he saw- the landscape, the animals, the people - were in reality God.
A little scrapped painting - an illustration for a very short story by Alexander Jodorowsky.
Hope you guys don’t mind a look at my messy, confused struggle :’) I have so many paintings that I never post anywhere, because I messed up somewhere along the way to finishing them and they would need a lot of editing to get back the kind of ‘magic’ the first sketch had for me.. But I think this is as far as I’ll ever go with this one !
A couple more illustrations from last semester - 2 color versions of an illustrated map, an illustration for the theme “all hands on deck”, and a spot illustration for an article about “the unconscious effect we have on the world” !
Fish friends! The final for our character design class was to make a 3-stage boss for a game, based on 2 words that we pulled out of a hat - mine was Cadaverous Reef. I think in this game you’re repairing a dead coral reef, in order to tempt these guys into hanging out and helping with re-pollination!
A watercolor from last spring, lunch hour plein airs from this summer at Blue Sky Studios, and recent digital photo and master studies! Lately I’ve been trying to focus on making conscious decisions about what details of the photo I should use, and what could help the picture as a whole by being left out as simpler blanker space.
Some commissions I took before my internship with Blue Sky animation studios started a couple weeks ago! :D
The last two paintings I made for my watercolor class! And some thumbnails, and process/workspace !
Final poster design and an exterior environment concept from my Aladdin redesign project!
(Just a little grayscale painting and colors slapped on top)
Been trying to kill my habit of ‘drawing a painting’ rather than actually painting the painting. Working from as minimal lineart as I can manage, this took ~2 days!
